CONSTRUCTION IRONWORK
Blacksmithing for construction
in Mallorca
This work we gear towards construction concerns iron elements manufacture and usage in projects within this sector.
These tasks involve metal structures, reinforcements and components creation embedded into buildings and civil engineering. The iron used in these works is usually structural steel, which provides endurance and durability.
Metal
structures
Construction ironwork includes manufacturing metal structures, such as beams, columns, trusses, and frames, which provide support and stability to buildings.
These structures are designed and manufactured according to structural calculations and applicable building regulations.
Rebars and
reinforcements
Rebars and reinforcements for ferroconcrete elements, such as slabs, beams and columns manufacture.
Steel reinforcing bars are cut, bent and joined by welding or tying to build a reinforcing structure that increases the concrete elements’ strength and load capacity, always requested by any construction building contractor.
Other
scopes
Besides the mentioned elements, these works may include additional components such as roof structures, canopies, footbridges and decorative features on the buildings’ exterior.
Careful planning, design and manufacturing are required to ensure these construction projects’ metal items’ quality and safety.
PROCESS
Structural works
We manufacture resistant and stable structures for works involving blacksmithing and welding techniques to create structural components that support loads and provide stability in buildings and civil engineering.
We manufacture resistant and stable structures for works involving blacksmithing and welding techniques to create structural components that support loads and provide stability in buildings and civil engineering.
01
Design and planning
The process begins with the engineer, builder and customer’s partnering to define the project’s requirements and objectives. A detailed structural design that meets the applicable building codes and standards is carried out.
02
Materials selection
The type of metal suitable for structural work is selected, which is generally structural steel. Steel provides the required load-bearing resistance and durability. The necessary steel profiles, plates and pipes are also chosen according to the calculations and structural design.
03
Manufacturing and construction
Structural components are manufactured in the workshop using blacksmithing techniques such as cutting, bending, welding and assembly.
04
Assembly and setup
Once the structural components are manufactured, they are assembled and set up at the construction site. Steel elements are joined and assembled into their proper position using welding, bolting or structural connectors. Safety procedures are conducted, and components’ proper alignment and levelling are ensured.
05
Check and fine-tuning
After assembly, a check is performed to verify the structure’s quality and integrity.
They require high precision, expertise, and building standards and regulations fulfilment. The liaison between architectural engineers, designers, and our specialised team is essential for these projects’ success.
